Senior Week 1

This week I started by helping with some tasks that needed to be done around the shop. The first task was to test all of the mice around the shop and make sure they worked. This didn't take too long, I just had to go around to each station and make sure the left click, right click and scroll wheel were working. There were only one or two that didn't work. After that Matt and I were assigned to move the plotter to the wall by the stairs. we started by untying it from where it originally was on top of the table at the front of the shop. We then moved it over to by the stairs and started looking for a ladder. Mr. L had taken the ladder into the machine shop so we went to help him fill one of the machines with oil while waiting for the ladder.

Once we were done we brought the ladder over and started hanging the plotter. It took a few tries with a few different knots before we were able to keep it hanging against the wall and not swinging into the stairway.

When we finished hanging the plotter I started looking for things I had to do. I realized I needed to lasercut a new nametag for my box because I was still using the nametag from my old box. I measured the dimensions of the nametag area on the new box and then made a design in CAD. unfortunately couldn't cut the nametag the day that I designed it in CAD because the lasercutter was in use so I cut it the next day and it came out well.
