Senior week 11

This week I continued working on my snowboard hanger project. I got all of the files that I was going to need together and noticed some changed I wanted to make on Wednesday.

I realized that there were only two screw holes on the hanger. I did not think that this would be enough to support the weight of the snowboard so I added two more beneath it. I also thought that the screws might be too small when I was looking at the 3d print so I started thinking about changing the size of them.

On Thursday Mr. Christy suggested that I look into drywall anchors as a way to hang the snowboard hanger. I looked into I and liked the idea. I think it will be a good way to make the project more stable and make sure it will be able to hang. I plan to incorporate an anchor into my project now.

later in the week while I was working on my design and thinking of ways to make it more stable I also thought of an idea to add a support coming out from the bottom. I think if I made an angled piece coming out from the end that would touch the wall, almost like mirroring the support from the top, that could add a good amount of support. I plan to add this next week.
