This week I continued working on my snowboard hanger. At the start of the week I had to remake my second design unfortunately because it did not save. I finished this pretty quick and added some new changes to it while I was designing it such as a filet on the bottom that I thought made it look better and would possibly add some support.

One I was done remaking that design I moved on to stress testing. I looked into a few videos demonstrating how to go through the process and Tim helped me when I was ready. He showed me the steps and helped me get my first design stress tested. The results came back good and said that the hanger would be able to support the 20 pound force we put on it. I made it 20 just to be sure that it will be able to support the weight of the snowboard which is likely a little less. The weight will also be distributed across two of the hangers so I think that the design will work well. The simulation also said that It was likely that I would be able to remove some material from the design and still have it be strong enough so I plan to do that.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to stress test the second design on Wednesday so I did that on Thursday. The test came back surprisingly quick and it said that the design would be very strong under 20 pounds of pressure. It also said that I would likely be able to remove some material. Now I just have to figure out which design I am going to use and look for ways to remove material from it.
