This week I continued working on the snowboard hanger project. At the end of last week I started looking for ways to reduce the material in my design after stress testing it and realizing that I could reduce the amount of material used significantly. At the end of last week I also shortened how far out the bottom part went. This took away a lot of unneeded material.

This week I started by looking for drywall anchors to see what size I would need to make my screw holes. I found the anchors that I was going to use and they said they were 1/4 in. I adjusted the screw holes on the hanger to this.

Next I continued looking for ways to reduce the material I used. I did this by making the back support piece of the hanger shorter. On the left you can see the new shorter design compared to an older picture on the right.
