Senior Week 21

This week i continued working on my birthday card for my mom. I spent the start of the week figuring out what kind of design I wanted to do on the front. i ended up putting a big happy birthday on the top and some images of things she likes like a disco ball and dance shoes.

Once I was done designing it in CAD I moved it over to Inkscape where I needed to relearn how to do designs and engravings. I used Mr. L's guide for the freshman year locker tags and was able to get the designs on the front of the card in Inkscape.

Remaking the card in Inkscape

On Thursday I was able to lasercut and finish the card. I spent a while trying to figure out how to engrave the pieces but I figured it out and it ended up coming out great. Unfortunately you cannot see the engravings very well in the picture but in person they look great.
