This week I continued working on my stool Project. At the end of last week I cut out my design in cardboard but did not have a lot of time to look at it, so this week I assembled it and took a look at it to make sure the measurements were going to work for me. Once I put it together it looked perfect. The height was just where I wanted it and I think that the design will be very sturdy and work well in wood.

Once I assembled it I spoke to Mr. L and asked if we had any half inch wood. He showed me where it would be in the machine shop and unfortunately we did not have any unused pieces. Fortunately he told me that the best wood I could use for the project was Baltic Birch and also the size that would work best.

After that Mr. L suggested that I put my pieces into Inkscape to see what kind of wood I would need. I did this and tried a 4x8 piece which was a little too big. Next I tried a 4x4 piece which fit all of my parts perfectly.
