Week 31

This week I continued working on my pedalboard project. I spent a while figuring out how big I wanted it to be. It was originally going to be 1 foot long but started to think that that may be too small if I get more pedals. I thought some more and realized that it would be fine because I have all of the pedals that I need and if I get more then I can just switch them out on the board.
After looking at wider designs I noticed an issue with the foot long design. The supports seem like they are too far apart and may not be sturdy enough to support pedals and the pressure of pushing the buttons as you can see below. I decided to cut out my cardboard test next with the three supports to see if they will work. If they do not then I can cut out the two extra and add them on. Unfortunately I could not get the cardboard cut out this week. I planned to on Wednesday but I had to clean around the shop sorting screws and other parts from old projects.

I also added some holes in the vertical supports. I did this to allow wires to pass through and make them easier to organize. If I had not done this the wires and cables would have to go over or around the vertical supports which would likely defeat the purpose of the board and make it more messy.
