This week I started looking for new projects. At the end of last week I finished up my pedalboard project. I spent Monday and Tuesday of this week looking for ideas when I realized I could use something to hold my snowboard in my room because it is currently leaning against my wall. I started looking for 3d printed designs of this idea that people had made before and started coming up with ideas.

I came across many types of designs such as the hook design above but also a simpler design which was just two circles that went on either side of the snowboard. I spent some time deciding which type I wanted to design but eventually settled on the hook design because I want the board to be held horizontally which the circle design would not do as well.

I started designing my idea and just wanted to get a general shape with my first design. I made it six inches long and three tall but after finishing the design I noticed this may be a little too large.

I moved onto the second design and added an angled support that went from the top of the vertical part ot the middle of the horizontal part. I also added a fillet because I thought that it would look better. I still did not like this design however and moved onto the next design.

I made this design an inch smaller and filleted the edges to make it smoother. I also added the screw holes above the angled part. I got rid of the filet on the angled part as well because I thought that the design without the filet would be able to hold the board better.

I then moved onto my final design. It was essentially the same as my third design but I thought that it would be better to fill in the angled part to make it sturdier. I think that this design is going to work well and I am going to print out a test of it soon.
