Week 5

This week I continued working on my pencil holder project and I am now almost finished. I spent a while trying to figure out how to laser cut the wood but I eventually got the hang of it with the help of some classmates. I had to remake my Inkscape file in order to get the design to fit onto the piece of wood I was using. I got all of the pieces cut out and put the together held by tape to ensure that they would fit together. The next day I took off the tape and brought the pieces into the machine shop where I started gluing them together.
